After our Christmas break we’re back with our 1st fair of new season this Sunday 3rd February. The Vintage Collections is our much celebrated biannual fair 2 weeks ahead of London Fashion Week in our fabulous Central London venue, Freemasons’ Hall, in Covent Garden. We’ll have styles spanning over 100 years of fashion that inspire contemporary collections and the best designer vintage labels.

Whether you’re on the hunt for new-season inspiration, sourcing one-off pieces for your next photo shoot or need a fresh wardrobe update our 50+ traders will have you sorted from head to toe with sensational vintage fashion, accessories and trimmings. Our traders have years of combined experience and knowledge from product development for major fashion houses, costume design for theatre, film and television, as well as styling for fashion editorial, music videos and celebrities.

Regular customers to our fairs will no doubt have their list of favourite regular traders picked out for this Sunday’s vintage shopping spree. Deborah Woolf Vintage

Deborah has been collecting and selling at fairs, museums and markets for over 30 years and opened her London shop 10 years ago selling womenswear and accessories specializing in 60’s & 70’s British fashion as well as French and American design from 1920s through to 1950s. Deborah will be bringing some of her coveted collection along with vintage menswear, trimmings fabrics and shoes to include labels such as Bus Stop, Dior and YSL…

Chloe Lefay founder of Crystal Vintage returns with some Stella pieces with a focus on prints and Label Love such as this iconic British design team – Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell

New to our fair Jess Lelong of Lelong Designs brings an exquisite collection of Art Deco and Art Noveau jewellery. Some that have been restored to their former glory and other pieces designed and created using original Deco pieces in a contemporary style.

Next up on our fine roster of traders is The Saturday Dress with a really eclectic mix of fashion and textiles but mainly fashion. Kate has a great eye for detail being an artist as well as a vintage fashion collector and dealer with quirky one-off inspirational womenswear as well as original on-trend pieces like these two patchwork beauties…

Simply Vintage join us for the 1st time with uber cool on-trend menswear from 90’s street wear to 80’s designer pieces, 70’s disco shirts and American 1950’s embroidered tour jackets. Expect to pick up labels such as Fendi, Burberry, YSL, Lacoste and Fila.

Team one of these disco shirts or a Fila sweatshirt with one of Luxe Vintage London‘s Chanel bum bags you’ll be totally hip and totally now. Isobel returns to our 1st fair of the season this Sunday with lot’s of designer bling from Chanel jewellery to belt bags, shoulder bags, purses and key rings. Many styles that haven’t been repeated so hard to come by.

Catherine Newton joins our family of traders with antique and vintage menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories. Catherine will also be styling our mannequins for The Vintage Collections this Sunday with pieces from The Catherine Collection dating from 1900s right through to 1990s. Everything is available to purchase!

The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe return with off the scale vintage fashion and accessories from Chinese opera headdresses to 20’s flapper dresses, tiaras and HUGE Deco velvet bags like this one! This stand is a favourite with collectors, design teams and celebrity stylists.

Joining The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe stand for the 1st time will be The Old Watch Company with highly collectible wrist watches for him and for her from 1920’s Movado platinum and diamond cocktail watches to rare 1950’s Bulova automatics and classic gold Omega’s all with there original cases.

The Dior exhibition opens this weekend and Galina Sherry founder of Gigi’s Dressing Room returns with womenswear and accessories dating from 1930’s – 1980s to include some original Dior pieces like this gorgeous 1960’s cocktail dress. Katy of My Vintage Gift will be joining her with some of her ‘breakfast in bed’ vintage crockery sets all boxed up and ready to go. What more could a girl want!

Whilst still on the subject of Dior and the most anticipated fashion exhibition in London this year we welcome back one of our much loved traders London Vintage with a vast collection of womenswear and accessories from 1920s-1980s to include this stunning 1950’s Toile de Jouy dress by the infamous designer.

Costume designer Heidi Miller will be offering vintage textiles, trimmings, accessories and clothing she has amassed over the years for period film and television productions specializing in mainly 1960s-1980s apparel with labels such as Missoni and Donna Karen.

Lastly the lovely Freddie’s Flowers will be stalling out in our foyer. A nice addition to vintage fashion and so uplifting! Pick up some info from the team and get seasonal flowers delivered to your door every week.

Winter Fair Preview

We’re feeling festive! It’s our last fair of the year on Sunday 25th November just 4 weeks before Christmas! It will be your last chance to pick up a sensational party dress and vintage gifts galore. With such a great selection for him and for her, we hope you’ll find that something special that you won’t find on the high street. Shop local and shop vintage this Christmas for a gift that has authenticity and meaning…

With over 50 of the very best cherry-picked traders they’ll be a great selection of antique and vintage fashion, accessories and textiles for you to browse and tick off your Christmas shopping list.

Many of our regular traders are back including Lynda Ryan with designer fashion from the likes of Chanel and Prada, June Nevin with classic menswear, Nicky Press from Viva Vintage Jewels who specialises in designer jewellery from brands such as Givenchy, YSL & Chanel as well as cultured pearls and art deco pieces, Heather Johns from Chichirara Vintage with unique fashion vintage pieces to include labels like Marimeko, Comme Des Garcons and Galliano, perfect for the discerning fashionistas and lot’s of cozy knitwear from oversized sweaters to multicoloured scarves to snuggle up in. Luxe Vintage London will be going all bling with original 70’s & 80’s designer handbags in mint condition, silk Hermes scarves in their original boxes and Chanel jewellery, Paulo Portobello will have the boys well kitted out from head to toe in American & Canadian vintage apparel, French workwear and military pieces. Lady Janes Vintage Bandwagon has a penchant for knitwear by 70’s designer Mary Farrin, rare Zandra Rhodes pieces and those boho party dresses from labels such as Biba, Ossie Clark and Janice Wainwright. Rebecca Sweeting brings her exquisite early 20th century womenswear, accessories and tribal pieces all ready-to-wear and ripe for reinvention. Cloud Cuckoo Land will have costumes and early century womenswear including New Year’s Eve-ready flapper dresses.

Joining them will be some fantastic new names to the fair.

Chelsea Vintage Couture is the stand to stop by to pick up some truly luxurious Christmas gifts. Pre-owned French designer clothing & accessories from 1970s-1990s. Pieces so on-trend you would think they were made yesterday but of course with quality and craftsmanship of yesteryear.

Lucy Ead of Claith is a textiles, fashion and accessories dealer with a passion for antique and tribal textiles. They’ll be bringing a great selection of textiles, trimmings, antique mens & womenswear and folkloric dress.

Marlene Williams will be bringing a well curated selection of vintage womenswear, accessories and textiles from 1950s through to 1970s.

Aubourg Vintage debut at our Christmas Special with their fantastic range of cherry-picked vintage apparel from 1930’s through to 1980’s to include labels such as Jean Muir & Missoni.

Designer, manufacturer and collector Jan Woodford joins us with her personal collection gathered over the years that has inspired the catwalks today. Womenswear, accessories, sewing patterns and buttons galore from the 50’s-80’s.

Clifton Vintage Boutique Cleo Holyoak-Heatley makes her debut at our Christmas Special all the way from Bridport with a really eclectic mix of early vintage and antique womenswear as well as exquisite antique and fine costume jewellery. A favourite among design teams and lovers of true vintage.

Anje Dietze of Top of the Shops Vintage will be bringing an array of vintage womenswear from 1960’s – 1970’s boutique labels and high end women’s fashion like this fabulous 70’s pop Deco print ruffle skirt designed by Celia Birtwell.

With even more exquisite womenswear and accessories,

Hannah Colfer founder of Forgotten Tales Vintage will be bringing a lovely new range of baby and children’s vintage alongside their vintage womenswear. A great addition to the fair and Christmas is all about the children.

Naomi Leigh of Vintage Be Dazzle Jewellery will be a must-visit for those Christmas shopping with an array of antique and costume jewellery dating from as early as Deco rings to 1970s enamel pendants and 80’s bling as well as handbags to die for all sourced from her recent buying trip in LA.

Henrietta Burton of Swans & Donkeys will be trading with us for the very last time with a really beautiful collection of jewellery mainly early to mid 20th century to include Victorian to 70’s disco and antique and vintage womenswear all with great Provenance. What’s more everything comes beautifully packaged and ready to pop under the tree.

Nick Reed returns with a selection of uber cool poster art to deck your halls this Christmas. Perfect for the film buffs, rock n roll fans and graphic artists. What’s more there’s still time to get them framed in time for Christmas.

On top of that we’ve got some familiar faces returning once more. We’re warmly welcoming back Smashing Things with stunning antique & collectible jewellery, haute couture and vintage handbags, Chota Bazaar with novelty Christmas brooches and a great range of quirky 1970s styles, Fola Solanke with her well coveted collection of womenswear and accessories dating as early as 1900-1970s, the lovely Joanna Smyth of Banana Orange Vintage with fabulous prints and fantastic original sewing patterns and last but not least the hardest working woman in the industry…Sarah Horrillo aka London Vintage with everything a girl could need dating from 1920s-1980s.

Autumn Fair Preview

Autumn Fair Preview Sunday 14th October 11am-5:30pm £5 (£2 with NUS card)

There’s finally a wee chill in the air and scheduled rain on the weather forecast for Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair this Sunday so join us and our fine roster of traders for your autumn wardrobe edit! We’re full to the rafters with some of the very best traders who will be unwrapping their finest collections of knitwear, coats, capes, frocks and accessories from all your favourite eras so you can wrap up in style this autumn.

Over 50 traders will fill the stunning Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden with original, authentic vintage and pre-loved designer pieces many of which nail autumn/winter 18’s top trends including oversized coats, plaid, jazzy jumpers, embellishment, bold colours and animal prints but for those of you that have frequented our fairs over the years you will already know that our ethos is anything goes. Vintage doesn’t follow fashion but inspires today’s fashion so wear whatever makes you feel good, whatever the style or the era. Individuality is the biggest definer of British style and the beauty of vintage is that you can create your own look with pieces that no else will be wearing and without costing the earth.

Joining us this Sunday is conscious shopper and style muse Kate McGuire aka Converted Closet who shares our passion for vintage fashion and sustainability. We will be sharing our combined knowledge of vintage with Kate and her film crew for a documentary on vintage & sustainable fashion. We would love to hear some of your stories too and we can’t wait to see some of your purchases.

Many of you will be returning to some of your favourite traders this Sunday such as Lady Jane’s Vintage Bandwagon, London Vintage, The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe, Cloud Cuckoo Land, ChichiRaRa Vintage, Retrouve, Charm Vintage, Pret a Vintage who will have put pieces aside for you knowing your style preferences but do check out some of our returning traders and NEW traders too! First up on our roster is Frank Akinsete; stylist, collector and founder of the acclaimed vintage boutique Souled Out on Portobello Rd. Frank has styled everyone from Diana Ross to Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse. Frank will be styling our mannequins on Sunday too with eclectic, vibrant, global styles and textures. If your lost for inspiration this will be a great place to start! Menswear & womenswear.

Next up on our roster of traders is Tara Munro of Ooh La La Vintage. Formerly based in Paris with a gorgeous ‘by appointment only’ boutique Tara returns to CVFF bringing some Parisienne chic! Beautiful vintage womenswear and accessories from 1920s through to 1980s pre-loved designer fashion. Lot’s of wonderful pieces with great provenance.

Delve into the eclectic world of Sylke Joa on Sunday: we welcome back interior stylist, jewellery designer and vintage collector. You can get lost for hours on Pride and Prejudice London stand with pieces from the Victorian era through to 1940s workwear, traditional folk dresses and intricate pieces of jewellery created using fine vintage trimmings, fabric and curious that transform an outfit into a piece of art. Well worth adding to your list of go-see stands.

We’re delighted to welcome Yeugenia Kleiner to our family of traders for the 1st time. Yeugenia, otherwise known as Gen specializes in rare 1990s designer pieces but with a variety of decades and brands from 1920s kimonos to 1960s Paco Rabanne. They’ll be some real style steals on this stand on Sunday.

 

Looking for on-trend pieces? This will be a great stand to start browsing. Kerry Attwood founder of Sisters of the Moon Vintage joins our roster of cherry-picked traders offering true vintage womenswear and accessories with an eye for prints, colour, layering and textures and a passion for affordable vintage fashion making it accessible to all.

This little fellow needs a home! Jewels After Dusk return with a medley of vintage and antique jewellery from Victorian mourning lockets to antique Venetian glass beads and funky little tie pins like this one. Having a real Bulldog i might have to bag this one from Madeleine Lejeune as a keepsake.

London-based vintage fashion dealer with a soft spot for dazzling prints and all things emerald green. Jenny Baer of Star Plucker joins us on Sunday with exactly that. Vintage and designer pieces from 1940s through to the 90s with some lovely Laura Ashley maxi dresses and Liberty prints in the mix.

Bag some awesome autumn vintage attire from Dot & Dol at this Sundays fair. Kat & Emma, ex stylists and fashion journalists are rocking up from the suburbs (without the kids) offering up some fabulous vintage and second hand treasures sourced from all over the globe with a focus on current trends and fabulous prints.

Summer Fair Preview

Well this is it folks! We host our final fair of the summer this Sunday 3rd June before closing shop until September so vintage fashionistas this is your last chance to get your ideal vintage summer wardrobe.

Shop one-of-a-kind styles from some of the best traders in pre-loved womenswear, menswear, accessories and textiles from all over the globe to top up your holiday wardrobes and spruce up your home too. With over 50 traders to choose from there will be something for everyone!

Our regular traders who are always a favourite with shoppers will be getting into the summer spirit. The Antique and Vintage Wardrobe has plenty in the way of dreamy 1930’s chiffon dresses perfect for those summer garden parties and for wafting around Porlock to the sounds of jazz. London Vintage will be bringing plenty of novelty print dresses and plenty of 1950’s bombshell summer bathing suits. Spring Fair Preview

We hope to see you this Sunday 22nd April at our spring show celebrating 9 years, proving that vintage clothing is not the latest trend but the demand for fabulous clothes from decades past is here to stay. So get ready to peruse over 50 traders in the stunning Freemasons’ Hall offering fashion, accessories and textiles from 1900s-1990s.

Inside our stunning NEW home in the heart of Covent Garden we have returning traders, many of which have been with us since the very beginning and new traders ready with the latest additions to your wardrobes. Paula Roberedo Vintage; stylist, art director and founder of B.Luxo in Brazil will be back with a highly coveted collection of vintage men’s, womenswear and accessories from ready-to-wear pieces as well as some stunning evening ensembles with exquisite detail. Spanning decades from early 1900s-1990s, each piece is selected for it’s unique design feature.

Another returning trader, Hope & Harlequin from Brighton with a beautiful ‘seasonal’ collection of vintage focusing on design, cut, fabric and print. Each item is cherry-picked for it’s unique qualities and loving restored and tailored if need be for the perfect fit to give a more modern feel. Louise, the founder of H&H also specializes in stunning ethereal vintage wedding dresses and made-to-measure vintage recreations from their collection.

After a long sojourn Bernie Bailes returns to our family of traders at CVFF with a great collection of womenswear from 1940s. A favourite with vintage aficionado’s and design teams looking for details. Expect to find frocks, separates and accessories. From simple daywear to sensational eveningwear and quirky one-off pieces.

Looking for a stylish time piece? Luke Wareing returns this Sunday with his collection of vintage and antique watches for the discerning gentlemen and style conscious women searching for something different from the norm that allow the wearer to show their individual vintage style. From the traditional wristwatch to unique collectible pocket watches all fully tested and in good working order.

What’s new? We welcome Ornella Bijoux. Since 1944 Ornella Bijoux has crafted over 30’000 pieces of fine jewellery, some of which have exhibited at the V&A and Palazzo Reale in Milan. The brand has also created pieces for the fashion industry to include Dolce & Gabbana, Borbonese, Swarovski and Celine. Meet the family and browse their collection dating from 1960s-1990s at our spring show.

Galina Sherry founder of Gigi’s Dressing Room has been a customer of ours since we launched CVFF in 2009. Galina joins us for the 1st time as a trader this Sunday with womenswear and accessories from the 30s to the 90s to include pieces from designers such as Dior, YSL and Givenchy as well as the late Annie Curtis-Jones vintage collection. Most of you will remember Annie well from our fairs who we sadly lost at the end of last year. Annie was a favourite among design teams and showbiz as well as being a renowned costume designer for theatre and television and a great mentor to vintage enthusiasts such as Galina. Among this collection will be pieces of womenswear from the 20s through to 90s couture including designers such as Courreges and Thierry Mugler.

Another new name, Rebecca Drake Hopkins Blue Angel Jewellery is the stand for predominantly jewellery and some accessories to include fans, gloves, bags and hair ornaments ranging from Victorian to 1980s. Rebecca is based in Kent and specializes in the 1st half of the century, particularly Art Deco jewellery. We love this gorgeous art deco enamel alpine flower pendant.

”Be individual, be ferocious, be you!” Be sure to stop by street style vintage brand The Style Merchants curated by fashion stylist Simone Sylvester. A fan of colour, prints and textures championing individuality and uniqueness. Pick up some sensational pieces like this 80s Thierry Mugler jacket and some serious style tips too…

First-time trader Stacey Does Vintage specializes in vintage and antique finds including jewellery, handbags, faux fur, trinkets and more. This fabulous Art Deco bag will be coming with her on Sunday.

Lastly we welcome the Concordia Foundation to our spring fair with their spectacular vintage fashion and costume collection. All the proceeds go to their charity to help continue building bridges through the arts. Natasha Day (soprano) will be hosting the sale and we will have donation boxes at reception.

Charity Vintage & Costume Sale

Building bridges through the arts…

We’re delighted to welcome the Concordia Foundation ‘vintage fashion & costume collection’ to our spring fair on 22nd April founded by international singer and broadcaster Gillian Humphreys who was awarded an OBE in recognition for her charity work building bridges through the arts.

Natasha Day (soprano) will be hosting the sale selling a wide range of spectacular garments once worn by Gillian Humphreys, from daywear and eveningwear to unique pieces from some of the most prominent costume and fashion designers.

All the proceeds go to the Concordia Foundation to help continue their work with young people and hospitals. We will also be collecting for their charity through donation boxes on the door.

London Fashion Weekend is here and the The Vintage Collections are at Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair this Sunday. In our new Central London venue, Freemasons’ Hall, regularly used for fashion shows, award ceremonies and dinner dances, most notably, the Fashion Scout emerging designer catwalks during London Fashion Week, who have just hosted another season. We’ll have styles spanning over 100 years of fashion that inspire contemporary collections and the best designer vintage labels.

Whether you’re scouting for new-season inspiration, sourcing for your next photo shoot or need a fresh wardrobe update our 50+ traders will have you sorted from head to toe with sensational vintage apparel. We’re delighted to welcome back some returning traders to include Mimi Lem founder of I-Wear Vintage all the way from Brussels with 100’s of pairs of statement sunglasses like these 1980’s Givenchy tortoiseshell frames with organic lenses. Nothing says ”no camera’s please” like a pair of sunglasses…

Fuji Kimono returns with her unequaled collection of vintage kimonos, shibori, boro, hakama and tabi boots. From delicate cherry blossom prints to bold geometric designs there will be something for everyone.

Label lovers you’ll find everything from 70’s Halston to Pucci, Fiorucci and Bill Gibb on this stand. Chloe Lefay of Crystal Vintage returns from East Sussex in her Horse Truck full to the brim of special pieces amassed for our fair. With an eye for style and design over revival trends expect a well curated stand with fresh approach.

Also travelling up to Central London from the South West coast is Lynda Ryan with 1940s & 50s womenswear & accessories as well as her collection of high end designer vintage from labels such as Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga, YSL and Gucci.

 

90’s Chanel Leather Runway Jacket

Swans & Donkeys return with their enchanting collection of jewellery and fashion dating from 1930s-1970s. The entire collection was amassed from their late mother and grandmother to society events in London and Paris. Some of the pieces come with photographs of them wearing the garments.

NEW to our fair but certainly not new to the industry is Naomi Leigh who has been trading for nearly 40 years at fairs and the antique market on Camden Passage. Naomi sells exquisite antique and costume jewellery dating from 1900’s-1970’s and collectible handbags. Naomi will be bringing her finest collection to our show to include these HUGE paste earrings…

Laura Von Behr is relatively new to the vintage scene joining our family of traders this year with a well curated stand of womenswear dating from 1920s-1980s with an eye for great design and print. Laura’s favourite era’s are 1930’s and 70’s. This fabulous 1970’s Pucci number will be among her rails this Sunday…

Promoting everyday affordable vintage is Viva Soul London. Menswear & womenswear ranging from 1960s-1990s. Bag yourself a bargain this Sunday to include this fuschia pink grosse grain Bob Mackie suit.

Lastly we welcome legendary designer Malcolm Hall to our show this Sunday who designed costumes for the Rock Icons of the 1970’s. Among Malcolm’s clientele were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Abba, Mott the Hoople, Slade and Mud. Malcolm will be bringing his flamboyant collection of silk and satin circa 1975 suits and leather jackets as well as pieces from his vintage bridal collection. This stand will be mobbed with collectors, stylists and vintage dealers looking for pieces with great provenance. Yuo couldn’t get a better story than this hand-painted satin and gold suit designed for Jimmy Page!

Just pop in the dressing room and let them pin you in. They’ll have the garment back to you by the time you’ve finished browsing the fair.

Legendary Rock Icon Designer

We welcome legendary designer Malcolm Hall to our show this Sunday 25th February who designed costumes for the Rock Icons of the 1970’s! Among Malcolm’s clientele were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Abba, Mot The Hoople, Slade and Mud. Malcolm will be bringing his notably flamboyant circa 1975 silk and satin suits, leather jackets designed in 1979 and pieces from his vintage bridal wear collection.

This stand will no doubt be mobbed with collectors, stylists, rock n rollers and vintage dealers who are always on the lookout for pieces with great provenance. Well you couldn’t get a better story than this hand-painted satin and gold cord suit designed exclusively for Jimmy Page…
